Buy One, Give One

Dear friends of Liberty,

This holiday season is a time for giving.  Many of are busy wrapping presents for our friends and family.  Others are giving their time, talent, and treasure to help the less fortunate.  You might have even gotten up at the crack of dawn to fight mall crowds in search of the perfect gift.  There is one gift you can give to make a significant difference in your community and the world, but you won’t find it in any store.

That gift is Liberty.  And I want to help you give it to your friends and family this year.

Liberty is one of the central lessons of world history. Virtually all the progress the human race has enjoyed during the past few centuries is due to the increasing acceptance of free markets, civil liberties, and self-ownership.

Our goal as libertarians is to bring liberty to the world, so that these wonderful and proven ideas can be put into action. This will make our world a more free, peaceful, and abundant place for all.

BUY ONE, GIVE ONE

This season is also one of thanks.  That’s why I want to thank you for your support of the Advocates this year by making it easy for you to give the gift of Liberty.

Until December 31st, 2010, anytime you spend $25 in the Advocates Liberty Store (or make a $25 donation), we’ll give you the best introductory book on libertarianism to give to your friends and family this year.

We’ve seen unprecedented numbers of people wake up to the ideas of Liberty this year.  David Bergland’s acclaimed Libertarianism in One Lesson is an eye-opening book that will change the way the reader looks at government, laws, politics, and human liberty.

If you're a newcomer to libertarianism – or just curious – this book will answer every question you have. If you're already a libertarian, it is an inspiring reminder of the beauty and power of libertarian ideas. And if you have a friend who's interested in the freedom philosophy, this trade-size paperback, with a stunning full-color cover, makes a great gift.

YOUR FREE GIFT

With insight and candor, Libertarianism In One Lesson answers all the common questions about the freedom philosophy: What exactly is libertarianism? What are its historic roots? Are libertarians conservative or liberal? What would libertarians do to solve America's most vexing problems? And does libertarianism work in the "real world"?

The book lays out the central premise of libertarianism – "You own yourself" – and reveals how that deceptively simple statement has a wide-ranging impact on the relationship between government and individuals.

This classic work has been comprehensively updated and rewritten.  It's more relevant, wide-ranging, and useful than ever.

GIVE THE GIFT OF LIBERTY THIS YEAR

This book normally sells for $12.50 (plus shipping) in the Liberty Store, but through December 31st, we’ll give you a free copy for every $25 you donate or spend in the Advocates store.  There’s no catch, and no coupon code to enter.

If you’ve always wanted a copy for your bookshelf, or never read Bergland’s classic, feel free to keep this gift for yourself.  But I hope that you can also use this gift to give Liberty to your friends and family.

The world needs Liberty now more than ever.  Please take this opportunity to bring about a world of freedom, abundance, and peace this holiday season.

To get your gift copies of Libertarianism in One Lesson, visit the Liberty Store, or make your most generous donation today
