R&B heartthrob Mario and his mom got into a much-publicized tussle in their apartment last September. Now the singer's mom admits she was a tad tipsy and is dropping all charges against him.

Shawntia Hardaway, a former heroin addict who, only last month told police that "a mental case was breaking up property" inside her Fells Point, Md., apartment, accused Mario of pushing her so hard against a wall that she struck her head and wound up with bodily pain. The distraught mom also recounted to investigators how Mario, whose real name is Mario Dewar Bennett, had also struck her only three days before.
All throughout the latest battle between the duo, Mario still declared his love for Hardaway.
When Hardaway called local authorities at around 12:53 a.m. on Sept. 30 and they arrived on the scene, the apartment looked war-torn, according to police reports. There was broken glass strewn everywhere, busted up furniture and a large hole in a closet door, and Hardaway appeared to be very shaken by what had taken place.
Policed arrested the Season 6 'Dancing With the Stars' sensation and hauled him off to jail. Mario faced second-degree assault charges.
It was later revealed by an US Weekly source that the crooner allegedly went buck wild because he discovered his mom had withdrawn some money out of his bank account and went on a spending spree with his credit cards. Mario's temper was said to have reached out-of-control levels when he found out his mom had resorted to her old habits and was "cracked out on drugs."
Although the waters have been turbulent for the battling duo, Mario said he will "stand by his mom no matter what":
"I love my mother very much. I will continue to support her anyway I can."
Prosecutors have dropped all charges against the multiplatinum performer, who started his Do Right Foundation two years ago to educate and inspire kids confronting family drug addictions.
